Regular -ER verbs II
Ready to learn more about the regular verbs in French?

As we've mentioned before, most verbs in French are formed according to predictable rules. There are 3 types of regular verbs, each having different endings. Can you remember which ones they are?
-er verbs, -ir verbs and -re verbs!

Regular -er verbs in the present indicative
We saw three conjugations (je, tu, vous) for regular -er verbs earlier. As a reminder, here they are again:

je, j' | parle | habite |
tu | parles | habites |
vous | parlez | habitez |
Now let's look at the rest:

il, elle, on | parle | habite |
nous | parlons | habitons |
elles/ils | parlent | habitent |
So these forms are for when I want to speak about other people, like he/she/it and they?
Correct! Nous is we in English.
Now, I just have to remember how to pronounce them all...
A note on the pronunciation of ils parlent:
This conjugation is a bit odd in that it is pronounced exactly like il parle. Normally, the spelling 'ent' would be pronounced as a nasal vowel, but in the 3rd person plural, it's silent.
