What does "it was a flimsy position" mean?

flimsy - easy to break, not very well made/sturdy

position - someone's point of view on a topic/subject

A politician with a flimsy position on a certain subject or issue, means that his plan isn't very well thought out, or that his argument and reasons fall apart when you scrutinize them.
